Our hospital is a small, easy-going facility which focuses on quality veterinary care and excellent customer service. Weekly team meetings allow time for ideas to be exchanged and improvements to be made. Personal growth is encouraged and responsibilities are added to each team member’s job description as their training progresses.

Services Provided: Surgery, dentistry, ultrasound exams, radiographs, in-house labwork, preventive health care, semiannual wellness exams for senior pets, excellent client service and client education, 30 minute appointments for sick pets and for first puppy/kitten visits.

Veterinary Receptionist/Customer Care Representative

  • Be the friendly face the client sees when they walk through the door. Welcome them with a smile and their name and be comfortable talking to their pet and giving them some attention, too.

  • Be able to handle three phone lines without making clients feel that you’re rushed or that you don’t care about them.

  • Answer common questions clients may ask and be able to pass information accurately from doctor to client, if needed. Must be able to learn quickly and be able to explain what you know to clients.

  • Medical knowledge is a plus, but we’ll train the right applicant.

  • Use computer to schedule appointments, print forms, enter charges, etc. Knowledge of Avimark is a huge plus.

  • Must have excellent client service skills and great phone etiquette.


    Veterinary Assistant and/or Technician

  • Check in clients and their pet for appointments or surgeries. Gather complete history, take pet’s temperature, pulse and respiration. Inform doctor of all pertinent findings. Maintain thorough medical record during appointments.

  • Answer common questions clients may ask and be able to pass information accurately from doctor to client, if needed. Must be able to learn quickly and be able to explain what you know to clients.

  • Support the doctor during appointments by gently restraining the pet and helping during the appointment and associated procedures (clean ears, trim toenails, express anal sacs, draw blood). Set up surgery suite for procedures. Prepare vaccines and gather medication.

  • Perform in-house laboratory testing using IDEXX chemistry and CBC machine, microscopic exams for parasites, hematocrit exams, centrifuge samples, prepare slides for examination

  • Assist in taking radiographs and holding for ultrasound exams.

  • Monitor hospitalized animals for illness. Feed, water, walk, maintain cleanliness of pet and kennel.

  • Use computer to schedule appointments, print forms, enter charges, etc.

  • Be comfortable handling all animals the hospital cares for. Should be able to help lift heavy dogs, if needed.

  • Clean and sterilize surgery instruments. Help prepare the patient for surgery, assist in surgery if required and monitor patient during recovery.

  • Help answer phones and perform customer service duties when needed.

  • Must have excellent client service skills and great phone etiquette.
