The Story Behind Oakton-Vienna Veterinary Hospital
Our journey began in 1975 in an 800-square-foot baseball card shop at the corner of Maple Avenue and Pleasant Street, right next to the Marco Polo Restaurant. In 1979, we moved to our current location, where a single couch served as our entire waiting room. Privately operated since our founding, we were honored to be named one of Vienna's Legacy Businesses in 2025.
Throughout the years, we have remained committed to giving back to the Vienna and Fairfax County communities that supported us. We are deeply ingrained in the local community through initiatives such as our annual food drive for Food for Others in Fairfax and our sponsorships of Wolftrap Elementary's 5K Fun Run and local Girl Scout troops (Wolftrap, Westbriar, OLGC, and Kilmer). We also frequently support Madison High School's baseball, drama, orchestra, girls basketball, and dance programs. Our outreach includes sponsoring the Friends of Fairfax County Shelter's "Putting for Pets" annual tournament, and have supported several Vienna Little League sponsorships over the years . It is thanks to our wonderful clients and the Greater Fairfax community that we have been able to do what we love for over 50 years!
